Hi, I’m Kim — the artist and designer behind Kimberlou.
I make work about food, memory, and the small ordinary moments that quietly shape how we remember things. Based in the Moreton Bay region, I move between digital and pen & ink mediums with a nostalgic eye and a wry sense of humour, often leaning into the everyday, the mundane, and the meals that made us.
Current works include Aussie Poormet, a series exploring notions of middle-class identity through the meals we grew up with (and the ones we'd rather forget), and We Are All Just Eggs — a zine-based exhibition work about categorisation, identity, and the strange ways we try to define ourselves through external frameworks (like horoscopes, personality tests, and being told you have "big quiche energy").
