Ah, the classic spaghetti bolognese - ultimate comfort food or guaranteed argument starter? It can be both, right? It’s definitely a comfort food for me, but it nearly always gets a groan or an eye-roll from everyone else in the house. Do I make them eat it once a week? Yes. Does that bother me? Not at all, but they do grow pretty tired of eating it week-in and week-out. It’s so cheap and easy to make, though, and can easily be customised to whatever vegetables we’ve got left in the fridge (or none at all, if it’s one of those weeks!).

I fondly remember all the Dolmio flavours on rotation throughout my childhood, and enjoying a big bowl of pasta no matter what shape in came in… add in a side of garlic bread and you’ve got yourself a good night.
